パフォーマンスの最大化
レクロイのディスク・ドライブ・アナライザ(DDA)は、製品開発期間の短縮や、 既存ドライブの障害解析の効率化に役立つ、HDD開発エンジニアのための統合ツールです。 DDA 8ZiシリーズはレクロイのDDAの伝統を受け継いだ統合ソリューションであり、 強力なディスク・ドライブ解析ツールセットを備えています。 高速で複雑なドライブ信号の波形の捕捉、表示、解析を高精度かつ迅速に行うことができます。 設計上の問題解決やメディアの特性分析を行うときにはデータの複数のセクターや 複雑なトラックの捕捉が重要になるため、データ・ストレージ・アプリケーションではメモリが 大量に消費されます。DDA 8Ziシリーズでは、X-Stream IIアーキテクチャを通じて、 ディスク・ドライブ信号の高速かつ正確な測定と解析が可能です。 メモリ・オプションVLを使用すると、1チャンネルあたりのメモリを最大256Mポイント (2チャンネル構成では1チャンネルあたり最大512Mポイント)に拡張できます。 2つのモデル(DDA 816ZiおよびDDA 825Zi)の両方で、入力として50Ω_または1MΩ_を選択できます。 20Mポイントの波形メモリが標準装備され、4つのチャンネル上で40 Gs/秒の高速捕捉がサポートされるため、 複数のドライブ・セクターを同時に捕捉することができます。
Long Memory and Flexibility in Finding Problems
ヘッド信号を捕捉した後、フロント・パネルからその信号を即座にズーム(QuickZoom)することができます。ドライブ信号はDDAによって自動的にコピー・拡張されます。個々のセクターを検証するには、縦方向または横方向のスクロールを行います。マルチズーム機能を使用すると、ヘッド信号の別々の領域を最高8個まで表示できます(各ズームは別々の色で示されます)。ディスク・ドライブ・パラメータを使用すると、特定の領域におけるS/N比やパルス幅変動の特性を分析できます。障害分析を行うエンジニアは、理想的な基準波形およびパネル・セットアップの保存と呼出しを通じて、問題のあるドライブと正常なドライブを比較することができます。最高40 GS/秒の速度で動作するA/Dコンバータは、高速化が進む、リードチャネルの測定をより高精度に測定することができます。独自に開発したスクリプトをDA上で実行すると、捕捉信号を特定のチャンネルやメディアに適合したフィルタを通して表示できます。このようなユーザ独自のスクリプトは、MATLAB、VisualBasic、Excel、その他のフォーマットを利用することができます。

トリガとシーケンス・パフォーマンス
DDAのディスク・トリガでは、信号内で一連のイベントを設定し、それらのイベントに対して、トリガをかけることができます。たとえば、インデックス信号を基準として、そのトラックの全セクターの情報を収拾することができます。DDA 8Ziシリーズにはロングメモリを搭載することができるため、1サンプルあたり最高25psの分解能で、より多くのセクターを捕捉できます。DDA 8Ziシリーズでは、最高15,000個のセクターのデータを収集できます。カスケード・トリガ機能により、3つもしくは4つのイベントを使用して、複雑なトリガが可能になります。これにより、インデックス信号のエッジでトリガ・レディ⇒リード・ゲート信号⇒ヘッド信号でトリガをかけることができるため、作業効率が大幅に向上します。
